My horse defecates once or twice each hour when we are trail riding. And no worthy horse would ride in a trailer without leaving a gift of ‘horse apples.” So this begs the question “How or where should a responsible equestrian dispose of equine manure deposited in trailers, on the trail, or at camping and other outdoor areas?”

Goethe State Forest/Black Prong Trails/

December 18 2010

 

NEW Camp: Black Prong Equestrian Center, 450 S.E. County Road 337, Bronson, FL 32621

Sponsoring Group or Organization: The Goethe Trail, Inc

Terrain:  Trails are mostly sandy/grassy with some gravel. Shoes recommended. Water stops along trails.

Vet-In:  1pm on Friday Ride meeting Friday after dinner.

Awards:  Completion prize, 1st to Finish, Top 10, Best Condition  

Meals: Pre ride dinner Friday @ 6pm. Coffee, juice, fruit and pastries in the AM on ride day.

~ Plan your ride carefully. Plan a ride time based on past ride times, weather, trail conditions and the state of conditioning of your horse. Ride to your plan, not to what other horses are doing!
