Breed Registry’s and Association’s Distance Incentives 

The following Distance and Saddle Time Incentive Programs are offered directly from the Breed Registry’s and Associations listed below. Please take advantage of these programs by logging your training time, competition hours, and mileage.  You will be promoting your favorite Breed of horse, pony or mule and receive rewards for your effort! The listings with logos have recognized SEDRA and their efforts to promote the sport of distance riding! See Registry’s web site for award qualifications. Pinto Horse Association of America - PtHA "On the Trail"   Riding Program (Hours)

Pleasure Saddle Horse Registry - Saddle Horse Riding Awards - This award encourages the use of the Pleasure Saddle Horse as a trail or distance riding horse by recognizing the number of hours that applicants trail ride on their PSHR horses. Whether riding alone, with a group, distance ride, poker ride or endurance ride, the trail hours are acceptable.

Racking Horse Breeders’ Association of America Rack across America (Hours) RHBAA Versatility Program Form (CTR and Endurance)

Rocky Mountain Horse Association - Trail Pleasure Rider Program: Mileage completed at competitive trail or endurance riding competition does count, as well as practice and conditioning miles for these events. Miles completed in the Rocky Mountain Rated Trail Program are also eligible to be counted. Rated Trail Program:The Rocky Mountain Horse was founded on basic principles such as sure footedness, willingness to please, and versatility unmatched by any breed. The Rocky Mountain Rated Trail Program (RMRTP) is designed to utilize a series of obstacles in a natural trail environment. This will allow the horse to demonstrate its athletic skills, coordination, confidence, intelligence, and gait.

Spotted Saddle Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors Association SSHBEA Distance Program (Hours)

National Walking Horse Association - NWHA Versatility  -  NWHA - Trail Rider Program  

Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors Association Competitive Trail Program  -   Limited Distance Program  -   Endurance Program  - Versatility Award (Endurance and CTR) TWHBEA Distance Program (Hours) The TWHBEA TRAILS PROGRAM is designed to recognize trail riding enthusiasts who enjoy spending quality time on the trail and competing in trail events. All TWHBEA Trail Programs are horse/rider combination. Owners and riders must be members in good standing of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) during the time the points are accumulated.

SEDRA's High Point Program

 A.      General Requirements

1.       Breed restricted rides/drives will only count for points in that breed division and lifetime mileage. (Example: Arabian Classic). 

2.       Rides requiring qualification to enter (such as a championship ride) will count only towards lifetime mileage.

3.    All breed divisions must have a minimum of 5 equines (equines, mules or ponies) to compete for that breed division award.  Possible divisions to include, but not limited to, any registered breed (Arabians, Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, Paso Finos, etc) and unregistered equines.  Equines registered with a breed that does not have a total of 5 to complete a breed division will be grouped with all other breeds that cannot fill a full category (Other Registered High Point).

4.       Proof of registration:  Proof of breed registration must be provided, or the equine will compete in the unregistered division.

5.       Other awards to be presented may include: High Point Junior, High Point Rookie Equine, High Point Rookie Rider, etc (Competitive, Endurance and Driving).

6.       All equines will automatically be eligible for High Point awards when the rider/driver becomes a member of SEDRA, including HIGH POINT GRAND CHAMPION and HIGH POINT RESERVE CHAMPION.
